ABOUT JOE MAZZULLA
NBA head coach that was first signed by the Boston Celtics as an assistant coach in 2019. A few years later, he would then earn the head coaching job with the Celtics in February 2023. That very same season, he was selected to be the coach of Team Giannis during the 2023 NBA All-Star Game. He coached the Celtics to an NBA title in 2024.
He received his first coaching job with Glenville State University in 2011. He was later hired as an assistant for Fairmont State University in 2013.
As a junior, he helped West Virginia University reach the 2010 NCAA Final Four after defeating the University of Kentucky . He would eventually end his college basketball career with over 700 points and 340 career assists as a point guard.
He grew up living with his family in Johnston, Rhode Island. He now lives with his wife and their two children.
He was coached by Bob Huggins while at West Virginia.
