Actor best known for playing Kyler in the series Cobra Kai . He has also appeared in the 2018 TV series The Vampyr Resistance Corps and the 2007 film Freedom Writers . He has gained over 20 acting credits in his career.
He earned a full scholarship to UCLA , and graduated with a bachelor's degree in anthropology with a minor in African American studies. His 2016 film Spa Night was selected by Los Angeles Times as one of the "Top 20 Asian American movies of the last 20 years."
He has a sweet tooth and loves gummy bears. He won the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for Breakthrough Performance at Sundance in 2016.
He fell in love with acting as a teenager, but his parents wanted him to become a doctor.
His Cobra Kai co-stars include Ralph Macchio , William Zabka and Xolo Maridueña .
