ABOUT JOHANNES SEMPER
Estonian author and translator of the Twentieth Century. He is best known for penning the lyrics of the Estonian SSR's National Anthem.
He was educated at the University of Tartu.
He was once considered for the high-ranking Estonian SSR position of Minister of Education.
He was born and raised in Pahuvere, Estonia.
He was a contemporary of fellow Estonian writer August Malk .
