ABOUT JOHN BURRIDGE

English goalkeeper nicknamed "Budgie" who won league titles with clubs like Blackpool, Aston Villa and Hibernian during his nearly three-decade long career. After retiring, he became an analyst for the show C2K on the TEN Action network.

He grew up in the mining town Great Clifton and began playing for Workington at age 15.

He played for a record 15 different Football League teams during his career.

His son Tom has played professional hockey for the Blackburn Hawks.

He coached goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi during his time on the coaching staff of the Oman national team.
