ABOUT JOHN DAYAL

Social activist and journalist who advocates for the rights of Dalit communities and protests attacks on Christian minority groups.

He decided to become a journalist and is still the editor and CEO of a small newspaper.

He is a leader in the Christian Human Rights Movement, contributing to the founding of the All India Christian Council and United Christian Forum for Human Rights.

He married Mercy Mariamma, and is the father of Karuna, and Jason John.

He shares a birthday with another Indian civil rights leader, Mahatma Gandhi .
