John Dufresne
ABOUT JOHN DUFRESNE
An American author, he is best known for two New York Times notable novels: Louisiana Power and Light (1994) and Love Warps the Mind a Little (1997). His short story collections include The Way that Water Enters Stone (1991) and Johnny Too Bad (2005).
He studied at both Worcester State College and the University of Arkansas.
He received a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship.
Born in Massachusetts to a family of French Canadian descent, he later lived in Florida with his wife and son.
He collaborated with Carl Hiaasen on a novel entitled Naked Came the Manatee.
