ABOUT JOHN LATHAM
Zambian-English conceptual artist whose work influenced the development of the performance art and happenings movements. His works included "Film Star" from 1960 and "Man Caught Up with a Yellow Object" from 1954.
He attended the Chelsea College of Art and Design.
He participated in the 1966 Destruction in Art Symposium in London along with Yoko Ono .
He married fellow artist Barbara Steveni in 1950.
He was inspired by Franz Kline .
