Television and film actor who is widely recognized for his performance as Supervisor Leonard Mars on Phyllis. He also starred in The Facts of Life from 1979-1980. He has appeared in over 80 episodes of television throughout his long career.
He was an AmeriCorps Seniors volunteer trainer.
He has guest-starred on The Rockford Files, Knots Landing, Mr. Belvedere, and Barney Miller. Later in his career, he made a cameo appearance in an episode of Breaking Bad .
He was married to Tantoo Cardinal .
He was cast in Lawrence Kasdan 's 1994 western Wyatt Earp.
