ABOUT JOHN EDWARD MACK

An American biographer, professor, psychiatrist, and Pulitzer Prize winner, he is perhaps best known as an authority on alien abductions. His works include Nightmares and Human Conflict and Passport to the Cosmos: Human Transformation and Alien Encounters.

He graduated with honors from Harvard Medical School in 1955. He later became a certified psychoanalyst.

He helmed a controversial, decade-long study on alien encounters and interviewed over two hundred men and women who reported recurrent extraterrestrial abductions.

He grew up in New York City. With his wife Sally, he had three children.

He worked with Carl Sagan and others to promote the elimination of nuclear weapons and end the Cold War.
