Founder of the magazine Auto Trader who has had business in real estate, broadcast media, publishing, and hotels/restaurants.
His idea for Auto Trader came from seeing a car sales magazine and expanded on that idea with a magazine called Thames Valley Trader featuring a lot more than just cars.
He was the chairman of the Reading F.C. football league club.
Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England and resided in Berkshire.
He called for a minute of silence before football matches when learning of the death of Margaret Thatcher .
