Scottish guitarist and member of many post-punk bands like Magazine, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and Visage.
He received his first guitar when he was twelve years old.
His first band was called Slugband.
He is survived by his daughter Emily.
Jane's Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro cites McGeoch as a major influence.
