John McNally
ABOUT JOHN MCNALLY
Hall of Fame halfback who won four championships with the Green Bay Packers between 1929 and 1936.
After not playing sports in high school, he went on to become a star athlete at St. John's University.
He was given the nickname Vagabond Halfback for his off-the-field drunkenness and womanizing.
He married twice, but never had any children.
He was the basis for the Dodge Connolly character, played by George Clooney , in the 2008 movie Leatherheads.
