Famous for comedic music albums such as Herniated Jingle Balls - The Extended Version (2001) and The Old Fart Cuts Another One (2007), this song parodist became known to his fans as "Dr. Dirty."

At the start of his career and beyond, he toured to college campuses wearing his trademark outfit of a derby hat paired with a tailcoat.

He collaborated with National Hockey League player Jim Schoenfeld on the 1970s albums Schony and The Key Is Love.

He was born in Rochester, New York, and he attended Middlebury College in Vermont.

He appears briefly in the 1983 Tom Cruise feature Losin' It.
