John van 't Schip

ABOUT JOHN VAN 'T SCHIP

Former winger that played soccer professionally for 15 years until retiring in 1996. During his professional soccer career, he also played for the Netherlands men's national team. He later began his professional soccer career in 1997 with AFC Ajax.

He initially began playing soccer as a kid with the NFC Amstelveen youth squad. He also played within the Ajax youth ranks.

As a team member of Team Netherlands, he helped his squad win the 1988 UEFA European Championships. He and Team Netherlands defeated the Soviet Union by a score of 2-0.

He grew up living with his family in Fort St. John, Canada. He was born of Dutch descent.

He primarily played the position of winger during his professional career just like Lionel Messi and Riyad Mahrez .
