ABOUT JOHNATHAN LOAISIGA

Professional pitcher that was signed by the San Francisco Giants as an international free agent in 2012. After being released by the Giants in 2015, he signed with the New York Yankees the following year.

He began his professional career pitching for the Giants' rookie affiliate team the DSL Giants.

He is the first Nicaragua-born player in the Yankees' franchise history.

He is a native of Managua, Nicaragua. His grandfather, his father and his brother have all been professional baseball players.

On June 25, 2021, he made history becoming the first relief pitcher in Yankees history to strike out four batters in one inning, after striking out Michael Chavis , Alex Verdugo , JD Martinez and Xander Bogaerts in the seventh inning.
