ABOUT JOHNNY COOPER

Lead vocalist of his self-titled band, he is a songwriter and musician well known for his careful fusion of genres like rock, blues, and pop. He first rose to fame in 2007 after the release of his debut studio album Ignition on iTunes.

In his early teens, he began his musical career playing the drums. He later switched to the guitar. Into high school he began writing songs and performing at local nightclubs.

Though his initial albums were released independently, he was later signed to Tenacity Records in 2009.

His mother was a dance choreographer and his father owned a number of local nightclubs.

He has stated that he was heavily influenced by artists like Queen and Stevie Wonder when he was growing up.
