ABOUT JOHNNY EVERS
Former Major Leaguer, most known for helping the Cubs win the World Series in 1907 and 1908.
In 1902, he made his debut in the Minor Leagues, playing shortstop for the Troy Trojans.
In 1914, he was named the National League Most Valuable Player.
He was born-and-raised in Troy, New York.
He and Ernie Banks were both stars on the Chicago Cubs.
