ABOUT JOHNNY BROWN
Appeared on the sketch comedy TV series Laugh-In and played the character of Nathan Bookman on Good Times. He acted in over 30 different TV shows. Later in his career, he appeared in several movies.
As a boy he lived in Harlem and attended school with writer Walter Dean Myers .
He had roles on The Jeffersons and Family Matters. He has gained fame for his Louis Armstrong impersonation.
He had a daughter named Sharon.
He was in the 1964 Broadway musical Golden Boy with Sammy Davis, Jr.
