ABOUT JORGE ALCALA

Right-handed reliever that was first signed by the Houston Astros as an international prospect in 2014. He was later acquired by the Minnesota Twins via trade in July 2018.

He initially began his professional career playing for the DSL Astros rookie affiliate team. He was later promoted to the GCL Astros.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Kansas City Royals on September 21, 2019. His team lost the game 12-5.

He's from Bajos de Haina, Dominican Republic. He grew up with siblings.

He played alongside Luis Arraez during his official MLB debut.
