ABOUT JOSé AZOCAR

Professional right fielder that was originally signed by the Detroit Tigers as an international free agent in 2012. He was later signed by the San Diego Padres in November 2020.

He initially began his professional career playing for the VSL Tigers rookie affiliate team. He was only a teenager at the time.

He made his official major league debut playing against the Arizona Diamondbacks on April 7, 2022 as a member of the Padres. He entered the game as a defensive substitute.

He grew up living with his family in Guiria, Venezuela. He and his wife welcomed a son together in 2016.

He played alongside Manny Machado and Jake Cronenworth during his MLB debut.
