ABOUT JOSE LEONIDAS CRUZ

Relief pitcher that was originally signed by the San Francisco Giants as an international prospect in 2018. Following the 2022 regular season, he was named the one of the Giants' top 100 MLB prospects.

Initially, he began his professional career playing for the DSL Giants. He was then sent to the AZL Giants.

He made a professional career-high 38 pitching appearances during the 2022 minor league season. He collected a career-high 86 strikeouts while allowing a career-low .119 opponent batting average.

He grew up living with his family in the Santo Domingo area of the Dominican Republic.

He and Logan Webb have pitched for the San Francisco Giants .
