ABOUT JOSé DACCARETT

Best recognized as the father of Disney's Descendants star Sofia Carson .

Originally from Colombia, he moved to the United States in his youth and later met his wife in Florida.

He studied at Florida Atlantic University.

His wife, Laura Char Carson, is related to the Char family, a line of Colombian politicians. In addition to Sofia, they have another daughter named Paulina .

His daughter starred opposite Dove Cameron in the made-for-TV movie Descendants.
