All-Star MLB shortstop who won the 2011 National League batting title with the New York Mets. He played for the Miami Marlins in 2012, then spent over two years with the Toronto Blue Jays before a 2015 trade sent him to the Colorado Rockies.

He failed out of Clown School before trying his hand at baseball.

He became the New York Mets' all-time leader in both stolen bases and triples.

He married Katherine Ramirez in 2008. He and Katherine have three children named Katerine, Joselyn and Ashley.

He laid down a bunt for a hit on the final day of the 2011 season to edge out Ryan Braun for his first ever batting tile.
