ABOUT JOSH SCHERER

LA-based food writer whose writing has appeared in a variety of publications including Los Angeles Magazine, Eater, and Food & Wine. He is also known for his food blog which features a variety of recipes, reviews, and other lifestyle content. He has garnered over 400,000 followers on Instagram for his food and lifestyle content.

Prior to his work writing in food, he was a track and field athlete at UCLA who competed as a hammer thrower. Upon graduation, he explored his love of food and began to publish his writings in several magazines.

His blog Culinary Bro-Down was named a finalist for best writing in Saveur magazine's Best Food Blog Awards in 2014. He works with YouTube stars Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal .

He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He proposed to food enthusiast Julia Levy in February 2022. They married in December 2024.
