ABOUT JOSHUA EARL TAYLOR

Professional relief pitcher that was originally signed by the Philadelphia Phillies as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2014. He was later acquired by the Boston Red Sox via trade in May 2018. He has also pitched in the Arizona Diamondbacks farm system.

He initially began his collgiate career playing at Scottsdale Community College. He eventually transferred to Georgia College & State University.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Cleveland Guardians on May 29, 2019 as a member of the Red Sox. He recorded a stretch of 12 consecutive scoreless innings during his rookie season.

He was born and raised in Arizona. He welcomed a son with his wife Emily Taylor in September 2022.

He played alongside JD Martinez during his MLB debut.
