Joyce Kilmer
ABOUT JOYCE KILMER
American poet and author who is remembered for "Trees," a poem published in 1913. His poetry collections include Summer of Love and Main Street and Other Poems.
He studied at Rutgers College and Columbia University and taught Latin at a high school in New Jersey.
He was killed in Europe while fighting in World War I.
He had five children with his poet wife, Aline Murray.
He was a contemporary of fellow poet Robert Frost .
