ABOUT JULIáN ARAUJO

Mexican-American professional soccer player who started as a right-back for Major League Soccer club LA Galaxy . He was born in the United States but represents the Mexican national team. He has accumulated more than 650,000 followers on Instagram.

He came up in the US youth system. He played with the U-16s when he spent time with the Barça Residency Academy in Arizona and later was invited to a trial in Spain. He made his professional debut for the LA Galaxy II in the USL in October of 2018 at the age of 17.

While training with the U20 U.S. team, his father called to tell him that he had leukemia. By 2019, his cancer had gone into remission. In 2023, he began playing for the team Barcelona B.

Both his parents are immigrant farm workers, from Guanajuato and Zacatecas, Mexico. His father later became a truck driver, and his mother a school district translator. He is the youngest of three children. He was born and raised in Lompoc.

His Galaxy teammates include Diego Costa , Javier Hernández , and Sacha Kljestan . His Mexico teammates include Kevin Álvarez , Jesús Gallardo , and Fernando Beltrán .
