She studied at the London College of Fashion and worked as a journalist for the music magazine ZigZag.
She and All About Eve scored four Top 40 singles between the summers of 1988 and 1989.
She has a younger sister named Lise.
She recorded a cover version of the Nine Inch Nails song Hurt, originally written and performed by Trent Reznor .
