ABOUT JULIO SáNCHEZ CRISTO
Radio personality best known as the host of the long-running Colombian morning show La W, broadcast on W Radio. He is considered one of Colombia's most important radio journalists, having won many prestigious honors including the Simón Bolívar National Journalism Award.
He graduated from Colegio San Bartolomé La Merced in Bogota, Colombia. He later studied journalism in Europe and the United States.
He voiced the nature documentary Colombia Magia Salvaje (2015).
He has three siblings, including fellow radio announcer Jaime Sánchez Cristo. He has a daughter named Maria.
His persona has often been compared to that of American journalist Peter Jennings .
