ABOUT JULIO MORALES

Uruguayan striker who played for the 4th place Uruguayan national team at the 1970 World Cup. He played for three teams during his professional career and scored 11 goals in 24 appearances with the Uruguayan national team from 1966 to 1981.

He began his professional career with the Uruguayan team Racing Montevideo in 1961.

He helped the Uruguayan team Nacional win 5 league titles and a Copa Libertadores between 1966 to 1972.

His son, also named Julio Morales, played professional soccer in Uruguay.

He competed in the 1970 World Cup against the legendary Pele .
