ABOUT JUNIOR FERNáNDEZ

Relief pitcher that was first signed by the St. Louis Cardinals as an international free agent in 2014. He was later signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates in September 2022.

He initially began his professional career playing for the DSL Cardinals. The following year, he was promoted to the Gulf Coast Cardinals

He pitched in 13 games during his rookie season. He made his official debut on August 11, 2019.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He now lives in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

He once gave up a grand slam to Ryan Braun .
