ABOUT JUSTIN MARTIN
American actor who debuted in The Lion King on Broadway in 2006 and starred in The Soloist in 2009. He also appeared in the feature films High School Musical 3: Senior Year and A Raisin in the Sun. In 2015, he was arrested after a shootout with police, leading to a hiatus from acting.
He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and began acting in church plays when he was seven years-old. At age nine, he traveled to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career and quickly booked national commercials for Shoney's and Mercedes-Benz.
He matriculated at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2012, the same year he starred on Broadway in The Flight.
He grew up with a sister named Zion.
He co-starred with Tony Award-winning actress Audra McDonald in a TV movie version of Lorraine Hansberry's famous play, A Raisin in the Sun.
