ABOUT KAREN CLARK-SHEARD

Gospel singer who has won four Grammy Awards. After being a member of The Clark Sisters , she began a successful solo career with the debut release Finally Karen.

She sang in church with her family.

Sheard's second album, Second Chance, was inspired after a surgery accident that left her with a 2% survival chance.

She married John Drew Sheard in 1984 and they had two children. One of her daughters is contemporary gospel singer Kierra Sheard .

She sang with Twinkie Clark in The Clark Sisters.
