ABOUT KAREN MALINA WHITE

Philadelphia native best known for her two-season role as Charmaine Brown on "The Cosby Show". She was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress for her role in the 1989 film "Lean On Me".

She graduated cum laude from Howard University.

She is also a voice actress who has voiced Dijonay Jones on the animated series "The Proud Family". She has amassed over 80 acting credits throughout her ongoing career.

She was in a seven-year relationship with "Cosby Show" actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner .

She co-starred with Oscar-winner Morgan Freeman in "Lean on Me".
