Mexican-American southpaw light welterweight who won his first three professional bouts by TKO, defeating Charles Sims, Breuntre Miller, and Randolph Cole.

In 2007, he took bronze at the National Police Athletic League championships.

He competed in the 2008 National Golden Glove Tournament of Champions.

He grew up in Humble, Texas.

He was Antonio Margarito 's sparring partner in preparation for his bout against Manny Pacquiao.
