ABOUT KARL LOWE

Rugby flanker who joined the Hurricanes in 2009.

He went to St. Johns High School in Hastings, New Zealand.

He gained a reputation as a 'destructive force' in rugby.

His younger brother, Jonah Lowe, also became a professional rugby player.

He and fellow New Zealander Craig Clarke both played on the Junior All Blacks squad.
