ABOUT KATE MOSSE

British novelist known for her 2005 novel Labyrinth which was the first book in the Languedoc Trilogy. She is the founder and director of the Women's Prize for Fiction and the founder of Women in History. She is popular on Twitter and has over 60,000 followers.

She started her career in publishing and left to write her first non-fiction book Becoming a Mother in 1992.

She has written plays, fiction, and non-fiction, and has worked as a broadcast journalist. In 2006, she won the Quill Award and the British Book Awards for Best Read for Labyrinth. She was awarded Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2013.

She is the eldest of three sisters born to Richard and Barbara Mosse. She is married to Greg Mosse and they have two children.

She has written the introduction to Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson and Goldfinger by Ian Fleming .
