ABOUT KATIE TOUPIN

Folk singer and keyboardist for the Americana band Houndmouth. She and the band released their debut studio album, From the Hills Below the City, to iTunes in June 2013.

During her teenage years, she served as a horse riding instructor. She also participated in a mission trip to the Dominican Republic during this time, where she discovered her love of musical performance.

She co-founded Houndmouth in Louisville, Kentucky in 2011. In 2014, she opened her own clothing store in Louisville called Bermuda Highway.

She was born and raised in New Albany, Indiana, where she grew up alongside her bandmates. Her father helped her hone her singing and guitar skills.

She has cited Otis Redding as being an artist she would have loved to have seen in concert and collaborate with.
