Kazi Zainul Abedin
ABOUT KAZI ZAINUL ABEDIN
Indian poet who also served as a senior officer in the government of the Nizam of Hyderabad. His literary works include Diwan-e-Abid and On Splendour of Ajanta Caves.
He attended the University of Bombay and studied English. He subsequently entered the Hyderabad Civil Service.
He was one of the final Kazis (Sultan-appointed judges) of Udgir.
He married Sahibni Begum in 1919. Following her death, he wed Zohra Begum, his first wife's niece.
He and Ram Bismil were fellow Indian poets.
