ABOUT KEITH HERNANDEZ
5-time All-Star first baseman who won World Series Championships with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1982 and the New York Mets in 1986. He won the National League MVP Award and the batting title in 1979 and earned 11 straight Gold Glove Awards from 1978 to 1988.
He played little league and high school ball with fellow pro Bob McClure.
He became a baseball analyst for the Mets in 2006.
He was married to Susan Hernandez until 1987. He married Kai Thompson in 2005.
He played alongside Darryl Strawberry on the 1986 World Series Champion Mets.
