She starting singing in competitions when she was 12 years old and appeared on the television talent show Opportunity Knocks when she was sixteen winning four times.
She also appeared on the ITV show Hit Me Baby, One More Time in 2005.
She married and had five daughters and a son.
Like her, Amy Macdonald is also a Scottish singer.
