ABOUT KEN BARRIE
Narrator of the television programs Postman Pat and Charlie Chalk who was also responsible for voicing several characters from each series. He sang the theme tune for both shows as well.
He recorded music for Embassy Records under the stage name of Les Carle.
He provided the voices for Smash Martians, the stars of a series of 1970s/1980s TV ad campaigns for Smash instant mashed potato.
His birth name was Leslie Hulme. He married Doreen Pye in 1954 and they had two children. He passed away from liver cancer.
He was a voice actor on Postman Pat along with Angela Griffin .
