ABOUT KEN SANDERS
Former relief pitcher nicknamed "Bulldog" who played for a number of major league teams, including the Milwaukee Brewers and Cleveland Indians. In 1971, he led the American League in saves with 31.
He excelled in football and soccer in addition to baseball at St. Louis University High School.
He received the Sporting News American League Fireman of the Year Award as the best relief pitcher in baseball in 1971.
He has children named Leanne, Laura and Steven. He is also a grandfather.
He and Eddie Guardado have both led the American League in saves.
