ABOUT KEN SQUIER
American sportscaster, most recognized for providing the lap-by-lap commentary for NASCAR on CBS in the 1990s. For the 1982 running of The Great American Race, he helped introduce the Australian-developed in-car camera.
He began working in broadcasting when he was just 12 years old.
He performed his role as a sportscaster in several movies, including The Cannonball Run and 1986's Rad. He founded the American Canadian Tour late model racing series.
He was born in Waterbury, Vermont.
He covered a number of races Richard Petty competed in, including the 1979 Daytona 500, which Petty won.
