ABOUT KEN WALDICHUK

Professional pitcher that was drafted by the New York Yankees during the fifth round of the 2019 Major League Draft. He was later acquired by the Oakland Athletics via trade in August 2022. Prior to being drafted, he pitched at Saint Mary's College where he was once named to the Freshman All-West Coast Conference team in 2017.

He began his professional career playing for the Pulaski Yankees rookie affiliate team. He was the 165th overall pick of the 2019 MLB Draft.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Washington Nationals on September 1, 2022 as a member of the Athletics. He pitched four innings and recorded six strikeouts.

He grew up in San Diego, California.

He was drafted by the Yankees to begin his professional career just like Derek Jeter .
