He played at Palomar Community College and El Camino Community College, before making a name for himself at the University of Cincinnati.
On September 29, 2013, he had his first 100 yard receiving game, with 6 catches for 127 yards and a touchdown in a win over the Atlanta Falcons.
He was raised with five siblings in Miami, Florida.
His cousin is fellow NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown .
