During her childhood years, she rose to fame for her role as Penny Scavo in nearly fifty episodes of the ABC series Desperate Housewives .
Early in her acting career, she played a small role in the 2009 film Opposite Day.
She appeared in a 2010 short film titled Ranger Rob: The Movie.
She and her twin sister and fellow actress, McKenzie Applegate, spent their earliest days in Versailles, Kentucky.
Her Desperate Housewives character's mother is played by Felicity Huffman .
