ABOUT KERRY BROWN
Academic, author, and diplomat known as an expert on China. He was a Professor of Chinese Studies and Director of the Lau China Institute at King's College, London. He worked at the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office. He was First Secretary at the British Embassy in Beijing, and then Head of the Indonesia, Philippines, and East Timor Section.
In 1989, he graduated from Gonville & Caius College, University of Cambridge . He also attended the University of Leeds .
From 1994 to 1996, he lived in Inner Mongolia. He has written more than 20 books about China including 2017's China's World: The Foreign Policy of the World's Newest Superpower and 2022's China Through European Eyes.
He is from England.
He has written extensively about the Chinese Communist Party and leaders such as Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping .
