ABOUT KEVIN LEONEL
Dominican-American fashion designer celebrated for his original blend of sports culture elements with vintage textiles and sustainable practices. His pieces often incorporate repurposed materials and upcycled fabrics in order to reduce waste and advocate for sustainability.
He initially aspired to become a Major League Baseball player; however, when he realized that this was not in his future, he decided to pursue a career in fashion design. He purchased his first sewing machine during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
He has collaborated with notable brands such as OLG's LOTTO MAX for the "Thrift Drop" collection as well as major labels like Apple, Gillette, and Teeling Whiskey. He has also worked with major sports teams and has handcrafted jackets for teams in the NHL, NBA, and MLB.
He comes from Dominican-American heritage.
Both he and Óscar de la Renta are notable fashion designers with Dominican heritage.
