ABOUT KHALIL LEE

Professional outfielder that was drafted by the Kansas City Royals during the third round of the 2016 Major League Draft. He was later acquired by the New York Mets via trade in February 2021. He was drafted out of Flint Hill High School in Oakton, Virginia.

He first began his professional career playing for the AZL Royals rookie affiliate team. He played in 49 games with the team.

He made his official major league debut playing against the Atlanta Braves on May 17, 2021 as a member of the Mets. He finished the game 0 for 1 with a strikeout.

He was born in Newark, Delaware but grew up living in Baltimore and Northern Virginia. He'd later move to New York. He has a younger sister named Hana.

He credits Griffey Jr. as being one of his biggest baseball influences growing up.
